Don't bite the hand that feeds

Description

VIDEO (2 min 01 sec)

‘Don’t bite the hand that feeds’ was made during our residency at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in collaboration with Bwlch Nant yr Arian, a kite feeding station in Ponterwyd. A still life made up of meat and flowers was set up on a Red Kite feeding island, which the red kites feasted on.

Following this residency, we then continued this work with a panel discussion at Arcadecardiff. The panel included two artists (Matthew Macaulay + Ingrid Schildermans) and Dr. Lizzie Wilberforce from the Welsh Wildlife Trust. The panel was chaired by us who asked a series of questions relating to the theme of conservation and sustainability (in an art context as well as the context of the red kite’s succesful conservation story).
