We wore the sky through times of great pressure

Description

INSTALLATION

‘We wore the sky through times of great pressure' was created for the External Machines exhibition at the Royal Standard gallery. We referenced Turner’s palette and used symbolism from classical still life painting to evoke ideas of physical relationships. “Dual flesh-tones represent a symbiotic yet fraught relationship that is created in an artistic partnerships…The physical descension within the work is symbolic of a celestial submergence akin to that often found in impressionist painting” – http://the-royal-standard.com/programme/external-machines/
